A typical year for a pear tree

During the winter months (December – January), if required, the trees are pruned to allow for regrowth during the spring months.

The blossom starts in February.
The fruit grows from March until July.
The fruit is then picked from July until complete (usually mid-August).
The fruit is sold throughout the picking period either at the mandi (market) or locally. The market where the fruit is sold would be a main market like at Dehli, Kolkata etc.
The trees are maintained between September – December).
